35's Without Regearing??

I just put 37s on my 77 w150 with 6 inches of lift and stock gears. I have a 440 in mine though. Highway cruising is fine, town driving it feels like a small block.

I forgot to mention that the previous had cut the fenders so the is no rubbing.

^^^ What stock gears do you have? My '72 still has the factory gears in it, but they are 4.10's...

3.55s. 1/2 ton with 3/4 ton axles.

i was thinking about re gearing to 3.90s in my truck and i can only get 3.90s for the rear and 3.92s for the front would that be ok? im not thinking that would be okay

Yes that would be okay. What engine, trans do you have, and what tires are you running? If you have an overdrive trans I would recommend 4.56/4.88's with 35's, or 4.10's with 33's. If you have a non overdrive transmission, and plan to drive on the road/highways often, go 4.10's with 35's.

i have the 318 and overdrive tranny and i have 33s but i might go to 35s or 38s i dont know yet and their is a slim chance i will be doing any high way driving. the fastes i will go on the road is 50 but i might go faster lol i do very little mud mostly on sand.. so i dont really know what kind of gears i want to get i want relatively good mpg

according to that chart on the other page 4.88 gears might almost be a bit to much gear for 35's unless you plan on going with larger tires at a later date. i think 4.10's or 4.56's should be good if you do any hiway driving but still want to be doing some off roading.
