I just picked up a 93 W-350 with the 5.9 magnum engine for parts and went looking for this connector. It goes to the electric vacuum switching valve for the EGR valve that sits right next to the EGR valve on the passenger side at the very back of the intake.

If you have removed this make certain you didn't run manifold vacuum to the EGR valve or that would be causing you problems as the EGR would be sucked open all the time.

Sorry i haven't responded, its running and i am no longer burning any oil whatsoever. I am having a problem with air getting in somehow my guess is the fuel injector o-rings rolled up on me when i reinstalled them. I'm taking it in to the shop next week on Friday and I will let you know what i find out is wrong with it. Overall i want to say on a difficulty scale out of 5 i would say 2. Only problem i had was I sheared off the bolt that holds down the air conditioning lines to the accessory mount bit i drilled it out and tapped it easy fix. Hours wise is hard to tell because i only worked on it a couple hours a day for a couple weeks. I hope everything goes well for you!

Did you make certain you didn't have manifold vacuum running to the EGR valve?

Yeah the previous owner must have done an EGR delete because i didnt remove the module off the intake and the port where it goes into the exhaust is sealed off. The vacuum line that is supposed to go to the EGR has a bolt in it.

Is there any way to test the ECU? I've been looking all over the place for the symptoms im having and i think it would be a good idea to test the ECU before i do anything with the truck.
