I'm looking to get a replacement front & rear bumper for this 78 Dodge d-150....Anyone know what year to what year will work on a 78 model? 78-?

Thanks for the offer. but from what Iv been able to find out, I don't think 91 will work on this 78 but if I find out otherwise, I will message you. thanks.

 

I called around to a few places ( I haven't 100% confirmed this yet!) And there telling me that the front bumper will work (fit) from 1978-1981 and that the rear bumper will work (fit)from 1978-1984 I will 100% confirm this this weekend when me and the son go have some fun rummaging our local junk yards...they said that in those year ranges they would bolt right up!! same bumper brackets....( just need to find one undamaged, and rust free)
This 78 has an ugly old banged-up painted gray farm/ranch style bumper on the back (just dont look right) so we are going to put one of the newer style chrome bumpers on the back....I will take some before and after pictures and post them up when we do it...

so are you trying to get a chrome rear bumper? i don't think i have really seen many chrome rear bumpers. just chrome front bumpers with painted rear bumpers.

 

My front and rear bumper are both chrome.

 

i didn't say they weren't out there. i just said i have not seen as many chrome rear bumpers as i have seen painted ones. most trucks i see seem to have the chrome front bumper and painted rear. both my trucks are that way.

 

CW: I merely stated what I have. I didn't say anything about what you said or even what you may have implied. What we normally see on here is everyone chiming in on what their trucks have and we all learn from that. At least I learn that way.
