Default tire size

Ok so I live in Morehead City NC and do alot of beach fishing. My '89 D100 has a 2" lift and 31/10.50's on it. Could I move up to 33/12.50's without lifting it any higher? It looks like there is enough room but I'm not sure.

My brother just put 32 x 11.5 and he said there is very little clearance when turning but that is with stock suspension. I think you would be fine.

My truck sits lower than that and had 33 12.5 on it before it went back to 31 10.5....it never had any problems and was a little lower than yours. 1 33 is only 1.5in taller than a 31 since the height is over the diameter, not measured from the center of the wheel.

Thanks for your input guys. There is a jeep out here with 33x12.5's on it and they look huge compared to mine so I wasn't sure.

The 33 12.5 does look a lit bigger since it is WIDER and a little taller. If you google it you might be able to find out exactly how much difference there is but it should be no more than 1.5in taller.

I've got 2" spring and 3" body lift. 33's rub a little at the rear of the front fender while wheeling. Otherwise okay. Width and/or offset may be a small prob on turns but not height. Have them install a set on the front for clearance check before buying.

Some different opinions here. One with a lower truck than mine that had no problems with 33x12.5's and another with 3 more inches of height than mine that had scrubbing with 33x12.5's.

Maybe I'll just go with 33x11.5's.
