personally, I like gaue cluseters to be on the top of the dash or on the A pillar. I can't stand them under the dash since it is dangerous to place them there because you have to look down to read them. Especially because right after you install them you are CONSTANTLY looking at them. I'd get a housing that is supposed to sit on top of the dash and put them up there.

Ive seen quite a few people talk about installing an oil pressure gauge, what about fixing the stock one? Same goes for the other gauges

how do you expect to make the stock gauges more accurate? that is really the big problem with them. they just more so tell you what is normal. they don't give you any numbers. i though dodge gauges were bad. my dads ford is even worse. the first line on his temp gauge is operating temp. anything over that and i guess you could say it is overheating.

i personally like gauges that actually have numbers on them. since i have electric fans in my 81 know what temperature the engine is at is very important.

Yes, but now you have wires and stuff hanging in front of your dash equipment. Personally I would do them on top of the dash, and run the wires thru a place in the corner of the dash where it was no biggie for a hole to be. A single hole in the dash can be plugged with a blind plug easily if you ever remove the gauges.

I made my wires a bit too long. If I was a bit more pacient when installing the voltage gauge and tach it could have came out a bit bit nicer looking. I think Sixgun installed some gauges in a similar location but did a lot cleaner job with the install
