stock shocks should be fine as long as you are still running stock lower control arms. sometimes kits come built for 4x4's which already have a spacer block between the axle and leaf spring so kits come with very long u bolts and might just need to be replaced or possibly cut to work with a 2wd which doesn't have a lift block from the factory.
i bought the super lift 2"block kit for the rear and had springs made for the front by Eaton Detroit.
going to be doing a 3" body lift soon
what were the spec for the springs from Eaton and when I went on super lifts for their block kits it said for 4wd only do they still work for a 2wd 86 d150
