Default 12 valve gauges

Hey guys should I definitley 100% get gauges for my 92 12 valve? Do I need them? I wont really be towing with it at all maybe once in a blue moon. I've only towed with it twice within the 2 months I've owned the truck 7,000 lbs and 10k. Did just fine towing with the auto and O/D off. This was just to help a few buddies out in the future I wont be towing with it as it'll be more of a show/daily driver truck. Wont be driven in the winter.

I see the most common are egt and turbo boost guages. I definitley would like to have a tachometer so I can see my rpms, but then a fuel pressure guage under the hood possibly. I dont know if I really need them though, because these trucks are very simple anyways. Im not modifying it like crazy the pump is turned up and has a stage 2 Denny t fuel pin gonna do a three piece manifold and bosch 50 hp injectors. Deleted the airbox other than that maybe 3" intercooler piping later on. Thats just about it most likely.

Probably wouldn't hurt then, if just for peace of mind.

you definitely want EGT, Boost and trans temp gauges since those are 3 pretty important things. when you start throwing bigger injectors/turbo at it you want to keep an eye on things even if you don't touch the injection pump. we haven't touched the pump on my friends 1 truck other than fuel pin and it has been fine with bigger turbo/injectors but the exhaust does get warmer now than it use to stock. we found lots of boost least as we upgraded things. i also could be wrong but i don't think it is worth upgrading to 3" inter cooler tube. the stock size is likely fine for quite a bit of boost unless you plan on doing something pretty insane like compound turbo's. you would likely loose some high end boost with the larger tubes. also say that it is likely a good idea to try replacing all the boots/gaskets between the turbo and maybe even replace the inter cooler. just making sure there are no boost leaks helps the engine performance and the stock inter cooler is likely starting to show its age and leak boost. i know we found all sorts on my friends truck as we replaced stuff but he had so much boost it really wasn't noticeable but there was a noticeable performance increase when they got fixed.

Well the truck only has 117k now so im not to worried about replacing stuff atm. Rubber doesn't last forever though so I already changed the connectors on the intercooler/radiator pipes. They all had some tears in them. Yea somebody mentioned to me about getting the 3" pipes, but you're probably right its probably not worth it. I dont know if I'm gonna put a bigger turbo on it. I was just planning on injectors and the 3 piece manifold for now that way I get the increase in fuel and air at the same time this turbo seems to be just fine with me until it takes a sh*t I probably won't upgrade it.

if its a stock turbo i would replace it first. a better turbo will make a huge difference to performance and power even with stock injectors. also you got to watch EGT's a bit more carefully if you upgrade the injectors first. upgraded injectors let more fuel into the engine which results in higher EGT's which is why you got to watch EGT. a larger turbo will help keep the EGT's down.

Well alright the factory injectors are leaking thats the only reason why I want to replace them because I'd rather not take em apart just to replace the o-rings might as well just replace the injectors and keep them for spares just in case I decide to just got back to stock injectors when I upgrade the turbo because fuel economy already went down quite a bit from turning the pump up. Winter is almost here so I won't really be driving the truck will only be working on it and replacing stuff. Im in Pennsylvania so the salt is to brutal to take this truck out on the roads December-March
