I cranked it up this morning and it is running perfect. I have a question before I put the new pick-up coil on. Can it run perfect sometimes for say 50 miles and then stall out and die and not start back up and then run perfect again with a bad pick-up coil?

If the engine is running and you unplug the pick-up coil, shouldn't it kill the engine.
I did that and it didn't kill it. I turned it off with the switch and it wouldn't restart with it unplugged. But unplugging the pick-up coil while it is running doesn't kill it. Seems to me that it would but I'm not sure. I hate to keep bothering you.
