Default Electronic Fuel Injected Carb?

Some one mentioned to me that there are now electronic fuel injector style carbs to swap out a traditional carb. Is there already a thread on this subject or does anyone know anything about that? I can't seem to find anything in the forum.

I'm looking to swap a new motor in and curious about what other upgrades i can do at the same time. As long as they are inexpensive, relatively.

Thanks!

They are throttle body injection systems. Something that the manufacturers have been doing for quite a while now, though most of them have moved to port injection, as it is more efficient. Holley makes several standalone systems, along with a few others. For the more popular motors, (chevy small block....) there are a fair few companies that make retrofit port injected systems as well.

the biggest pain for going with TBI is the fuel system. if you do go with TBI may be worth trying to find a 91-93 fuel injection tank or you will likely have to spend lots of money on a fuel pump assembly. i would avoid going with inline fuel pump. they don't seem very reliable. in tank is generally very reliable but the hole on a 87 and older tank is very small and would be hard to get a fuel pump in and keep it in 1 place and avoid fuel starvation.
