Hey Gang,

Time to make mechanical adjustments! I just had a super detailed inspection done on the vehicle. You can read the full report here. Based on the report this is what I was thinking of prioritizing but would love to hear everyone's feedback.

1. Suspension Leaf replacement (already ordered from LMC truck parts)
2. Steering control/linkage replacement
4. Brake Bleeding
3. Engine Gasket replacements

After it goes to mechanical its going off to Mexico for body repair and paint, then back to me in LA for new wiring harness, amp gauge bypass, electronic ignition, speakers, new gauges, etc.

Wow. Significant list there.... They also seem pretty free and easy with that 'rebuild' suggestion..... Manual trans I take it? Why are they suggesting a rebuild there???

How much did that report cost you? I could have told you, "It needs fixin' up". I've never seen an inspection show the bed junk before.

It would be a candidate to take the body off the frame and then get the work done. There is a lot of rust on the suspension/axles etc. How many miles on it? Maybe upgrade to a magnum 360 with some "goodies".

I have looked through every page of the haynes repair manual and looked at diagrams online. For the life of me I can't find out the name of this component connected from the rear axel tube to the wheel. I circled it in the image below. Any ideas?
