Does anyone know what this picture is????
Hey, this is a 2002 Dakota 4X4 with the 3.9L and auto trans. The truck was used and I can't figure what this little breather tube thing is. I'll show three gradually closer pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks travis. what exactly is the purpose of a vacuum line?
also why the hell are we talking about vacuum lines. I didnt know the vacuum was a breather. It should be a sealed line, coming from the intake manifold splitting off into different accessories... correct me if im wrong, thats what it is like on my 5.9, not sure on a 3.9..

I have a 3.9 and I checked mine. Mine is capped off right there also. However I do not have cruise control or 4wd so maybe it has something to do with that.
if u look at the diagram on the underside of the hood, it shows the schematic for the vacuum system, and it has a arrow pointing to that port of the intake, it has a caption ( for climate control, speed control or 4x4 axle if equiped) mine is capped off and i have 4x4
