buy a bum... is it the exhaust recycle?

Don't know exactly what the hose is for, it's from the air box below the filter and goes to a "T" fitting. One goes toward the firewall, the other somewhere toward the throttle body.
If I was to mod my CAI from the 3.9, where would I drill the hole for the hose to hook up??-as close to the cone filter as possible??

 

Im not too fimiliar with the 3.9, but my hose runs into the intake tube about 5 or 6 inches away from the filter. At least thats the way it was before i modified the location of the filter. I believe the hose is for air recycle....but not too sure. I will do some research to find out for ya!

Is it the Mass Air Flow tube??
Do you have a pic of your CAI as you have an 03 with 4.7, should be the same right??
