Hi everybody, I just baught a sirius reviever last night and i was wondering where other dakota drivers who have satellite radio mounted theirs to and how they did it.
I think he meant on the inside (ie mounting thereceiver)I would say that the best placeI could find was right below the power adapters on the molding. I had to go to home depot and get a couple Lbrackets and some tiny screws and nuts. Line it all up and drill your holes then pull the molding out some so you can get your hand in to screw the nuts onto the screws, put it all together and enjoy. Bring the piece that the receiver is mounted to so you can get the right size L brackets and I also ended up bendingthe bracketsin order to get the receiver to no point up at a 45* angle...
My Kenwood is Sirius compatible. I ran teh antennae wire up from the module to the roof and ran it through the 3rd brake light opening onto the roof. I have a shell so teh factory 3rd brake light is useless and disconnected. Had to silicone a small section so it wouldnt leak. But I cancelled my subscription after 2 yrs. I dont listen to it enough to warrant the $$
