i have a 70 mm om my 05 4.7 dakand itdid wonders. just when you get the tb. dont go to big. i went with the 70 mm because of my cam kit. the only thing that loses gas mileage is at w.o.t. which really makes the truck scream. they say more air builds power, but if you keep driving it nicely you wont see any gas milage difference. but at the track you will.. drop dan an email at www.thefastman.com and tell him what you drive and mods and he will determine the size you need. and his exchange program gives the truck no down time. for 180.00 you cant beat it. or you could to it yourself

If you havethe major mods to help exhuast the air.. then go with a 52mm tb, if you just have the standard Exhuast with CAI or somthing go with s 50mm TB..

if you want to do a 52mm then upgrade your exhuast manifolds and intake manifold...

i dont know what you have done to your truck though... a little more info would help if you want better answers.

With a 52mm you will loose more low end torque, but gain it back in high end, with a 50mm you wont loose as much low end as you would with the 52mm.. the stock TB on the 360 is a 50mm but they way its made it actually comes down to a 48mm.. so a 50mm would do good.. if you plan on doing future upgrades like an M-1 or cam or heads and crap like that then just slap a 52mm on there it wont hurt.. but if your not then go with a 50mm.

Just curious User2006but what kind of power gain did you get from the 52mm with those mods? My stock tb was 50.53mm at the base & a lil over 51mm at the top. This friday i'm running my truck at the track a few times with the stock tb & then a few times with the 53mm so i will let you know i 53mm is too much with my surrent setup.

ya.. thats what fastman does.. he uses stock tbs and ports them.. if you can have it ported for 75$ and have it done right then do it.
