I dunno but my 99 ran 17.2 stock2 years ago. I might run her this year and see what she will do. I'm guessing low 16's. after all is a 4x4 truck with 31's.

At this point you have already taken a Ford Taurus to the track. What do you have to lose?

LMAO!!!! That's the funnies thing I've read in a while.

Why worry about being embarrassed by a truck running in the 16's? Run the beast...I'd rather see a nice Dakota run 16's down the track verses a little tuner car(or pos Taurus) anyday. Keep in mind that these trucks are heavy especially compared to a midsize car. And for it to run anything below a 16 flat would be impressive considering a 4.7 is a very small V8.

i thought that the daks would be atleast in the high 15s guess i thought wrong, i know when my friend first got his explorer sport trac brand new back an 01 (well before he got his roush which is an 11.5 1/4mi. car) he ran a 15.7, and that was a v-6 so i just figured the v8 would be able to pump that out, but o well shows my lack of knowledge of cars...

and the taurus runs were just for fun i think i ran 16 flat at like 87mph or something, hey i beat a POS tuner civic and almost took care of a rsx which ran like a 15.8 so yeah lol it was just for ****s and giggles
