i would go cobra if you want to save money...

but if i was you, i would save up about 400 or so and pay for a good one, one ticket can be over 300 or even 400 so it pretty much pays for itself many times.

thats why you hardwire it in your car where the cop cant see it standing at the window.. mine is at the very top above the rearview mirror.. only way you can see it is if they stick there head in the window and look up.. and there is no wires hanging down its all hiden from view and hardwired to my radio..

they also make radars that cling to the gauge cluster and you dont have anything in the window.. they dont know you have it..

only way to tell is if you tell them.

If you go the speedlimit here your more then likley to get rearended, most people here go about 10-15 miles over on highway and 5-10 on city streets.

everyone is in a rush to get to work, and the sad thing is most of the time your sitting in traffic going 30miles less then the speedlimit.. its fun, and i love the smell of coolent in the morning.
Thats what I was referring to... I don't want cops to know I have one...

Does anyone know which kind of radar they use for the Photo Radar...I've been nailed twice in the past 6 months by photo radar, they set it up in a mini van on local roads at random places, such a pain!

I found out that radar detectors are legal where I live, unlike where I was a year ago so I am thinking about getting one now but want to make sure it will pick up that stupid Photo Radar crap! I am thinking its lazar?
