2000 Dakota - Driver's Side Window Problems
I have a 2000 Dakota Club Cab. I have had a problem with my driver's side window since I bought the truck. I have had this problem fixed 3 times now (about every 2 years since 2000) and now it's happening again. When I use the power window buttons to lower the windows, the drivers side window will make it about 3/4 of the way down, then it starts to move really slowly and unless I physically push it the rest of the way down, it will get stuck. It goes back up just fine (does not slow down in the same spot on the way up), but make a terrible poping noise when it closes (this is a new thing, it never used to make a popping sound). If it's raining out, it goes down just fine, but if it's not wet out it will always slow down and get stuck after it goes about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down.
Every time I take it in to get it fixed, they tell me that it's the regulator and the window track, one time when it was still under warranty they even replaced the motor. Why would it keep going bad? I have never had a problem with the passenger side.
