ORIGINAL: englitrob

does the electric fan keep up with the heat? I know the fan shroud is designed to increase the pull of the fan at the radiator to make the fan more efficient. I was thinking about doing this myself, but i always have to keep the 110 degree summer heat in bumper to bumper freeway traffic in mind.

I have a 180 thermo installed, the pin never gets close to the 210 mark. Useallt stays close to 130 mark.

While driving on the freeway its close to 130.. while idling in traffic its half way between 130 and 210 mark, which is normal. It did stay cooler with the clutch fan on.. but this seems to be working for me right now. Plus to i plan on installing a a/m fan sooner or later, thats why i did this close to fall.. i didnt want to take the chance in the 110 weather.. i ***** a hoody today... pretty crazy, i love fall.
