My new DaKota
Got it for my 18th birthday as an early present, bought it at a toyota dealer in McKinney.
My parents went to several dealers, the most entertaining being a ford dealer. The sales rep there actually said outright that the rangers and S-10's absolutely suck, and that the dakota is the best compact pickup ever made by the Big 3. The rep at the yota dealer said the same thing, but added that once they get the computer bugs out of the tundra, that it will be right on up there with it.
It's perfectly immaculent less the radio problem. Body straight as can be, we're the second owner, origional owner traded it in, but carfax shows every single service being at the dealer (Huffines lewisville). It's fully loaded 4x2, even got the line-X bedliner. I like it!

RE: My new DaKota
yup, i alread filled up the underseat storage. But i can't fit any umper cables or tow straps or anything i'd really like to carry along...the windshield foil and my speedway window flag is about all the fits.
It's just to get me through the rest of my senior year and college amd beyond- to do the stuff and go where the dually just could do/go. plus the fuel bill was getting exponentially with all the local traveling i do at 8 MPG.
What's avg MPG for the 3.9 V6 in the club cab? The computer was reading 17.5 avg and 24 instantaneously so i guess i'll have to do more driving to get it caught up from the reset.

dont rely on the computer doing the averaging for you, its normally wrong, just reset your trip meter everytime you fill up with gas and then just take miles driven divided by gallons filled up and viola, your average, i used to get about 18 mpg when i wasnt babying the throttle, but i beleive my o2 sensors took a crap and now im getting 14.5 mpg babying the throttle on the highway..
