If it is still running fine and the oil still looks clean, what is the point in doing a flush. Only flush if you get something in there or your worried...
fluid is a little dark but not real bad, just dont want it to go on me. my buddy lost his on the highway today. actually threw something threw the case.
Ive had the pump come though the case on a sierra work truck. I would change it. that service needs to be done. I run into alot of people who are affraid to run longer drain intervals in there motor but most never think twice about the tranny or differentals. would you go 70,000 miles on the factory engine oil if the engine didnt make a noise and still ran? what about 50,000? There are alot of contaminates floating around in that fluid that can be eating away at the clutch packs and gears. The first change is one of the most important also because as it breaks in it gives off contaminates
When I got my 96 it had 67000 miles on it. I had the tranny flushed, filter changed and bands adjusted at around 70,000 . All is well so far at 103,000. about time for a filter change I suppose.
