because they lack knowledge on how it works...
if your talking about a handheld programmer then yes those work, but swapping a pcm or getting one flashed is your best bet.
If you dont want to trust me and waste 200-300$ then go for it.. just trying to help.
Also dont buy a Throttle body spacer or a Intake Tornado.... if you planned on it.

Hypertech and Superchips both make handheld programers for our trucks. Superchips seems to be more popular with dodges then Hypertech. So whatever...
but a Custom Flash or PCM Swap would work best, depening on other mods you have on the truck. I have a Mopar Performance PCM in mine, over the stock 5.9 pcm. It was a noticable diffrence in **** points and mid range power, and little better gas milage also.. well worth the 200 i spent on it.

or 4500- 5800rpm..
i forgot.. I dont let mine shift in Drive.. i manually do it... so i redline it at like 6k with the 4bbl it pulls all the way up to 6k.. i need bigger heads though.
