Default 2000 dakota with tranny problems p0753

Hi, my bossman has a 2000 dodge dakota with the 3.9 v6 with the 44r tranny. The truck only has 2 and 3rd. NO 1st and overdrive. I have replaced the 2 shift soliniods no fix. i have swapped out the relay no fix. anyone have any ideas what this could be. its throwing the p0753. then after clearing it with the scan tool it threw a p0743 then cleared again came back with the p0753. Can anyone help me out? it looks like a common problem in these trucks but no one seems to answer the questions?

Thanks Yall
Ryan

P0743 (M) Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid/Trans Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid circuit (3 or 4-speed auto. Trans. Only).
P0753 (M) Transmission 3-4 Shift Soleniod/Transmission Relay Circuits An open or shorted circuit detected in the overdrive solenoid control circuit or trans relay circuit in JTEC RE transmissions

You say you've replaced these 2 sensors? How about visually inspecting the wiring... Other than that I'm stumped...

Thanks for telling me what these ment even tho i already knew. i have been on alldata and its leading me towards the wiring harness or the tranny ecu. Im hoping to find someone that had these problems and can lead me into the right direction rather than just having to buy a ton of parts which equals alot of money and may not fix my problem.

Ryan
I have the diag sheet for P0753, But leads to doing diag testing with a dvom and a drb3 too. or you can do the same thing that flat rate shops do..... throw parts at it. If you want the diag sheet just send a pm and by the way, these are mopar diag sheets. Leonard

swap out the ac relay under the hood with the trans relay. they should be the same they are on a 5.9. i had the same issue with my r/t and it solved the problem.the relays are 12-15 bucks at the dealership and just replace the bad relay. if it doesnt solve the problem then you may need to have a trans specialist look at. ......edit...... i see you tried the relays. bummer sounds like your sensors are bad.

moe in wichita ks

you can get ANY trans questions answered just get ahold of a & reds trans parts.
i have known these people from the 60s. they are honest, and 90% of ALL trans shops get pasts from them.
