okay so i still have the superchips programmer to my truck but my truck is still tuned for it even tho i dont have the truck ne more

will it still work as a code reader for other trucks?

Yes it will still work as a code reader. It will just say VIN locked, and then go to the tune vehicle/diagnostics screen. I use mine on my wife's Intrepid all the time for a re-curring cat code. Used it on a Toyota for a guy at work too.

ya, its just a code reader now...... is there anyway you can get at your old truck to detune it.

if you could get to your truck (RIP) you could detune it and then sell the tuner.

well i cant get to the old truck. i tried to detune it but no go when i had the chance.

so im thinkin to just sell it as a code reader...how much would it be worth as one of those?

not much since you can get code readers at walmart for like 40$ you might as well just keep it as a code reader now.

well i dont exactly need one since i wont be getting another truck for..uh a while soo its up for sale....20 bucks plus shipping

you can ship it back to superchips and get them to load it agian. but its almost as expensive as a new one....
