Default burn outs in a v6???

I know it's possible but has anyone does it in a v6 with 31's? I can't even get my tires to spin!!! I can hold off the power in with the brakes... not sure whats up with that...

I am just more or less looking for a comparison of torque.. Mine has literally no bottom end. But I think I have a manifold leak.

i have 255/65/16s on my 01 Extended Cab 3.9 V6 and if i power brake it the tires barely spin. They spin pretty good when the roads are wet though. Or ice, but whos doesn't. lol

I spon(sp?) the tires the other day on dry roads and no power braking. I am running the stock tire size. The girl has the 3.55 with limited slip.

Sounds good, but mine only spin on like gravel, i did try to spin my tires on cement half a joke, but what I did was drive on some gravel start the spinning and hit the cement. hit the cement heard a tiny squeal then the truck took off. They spin sometimes on cement, when wet. Any ideas? I do have a manifold leak but have not been able to pinpoint it...

I tried to do a burn-out right after I got my truck; dumped the clutch at about 4500-5000 RPM,and all I got was chirp-chirp-VROOM... Afterward, I gotthe buildsheet for my truck fromthe dealer by giving them the VIN, and sure enough I've got the locking rear-end. It's gonna save me alot of money on tires though, 'cause I'm hard on 'em anyway.

yea, change your manifold gasket
could also be your tires, if they're a high traction compound (and tha fact that they're 31's), they wont help
i can find pics of an srt-10, (framed on 26's) that broke his driveshaft without any tire movement.

I can sometimes do a brake torque on dry pavement (It seems to depend on the temperature of the tires/atmosphere) but when there is even a little bit of water they lite right up
