RE: 5.9L half runs
P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit An open or shorted condition is detected in the Transmission Relay control circuit. This relay supplies power to the TCC.
P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit Current state of solenoid output port is different than expected (4-speed auto. Trans. Only).
P0753 (M) Transmission 3-4 Shift Soleniod/Transmission Relay Circuits An open or shorted circuit detected in the overdrive solenoid control circuit or trans relay circuit in JTEC RE transmissions . Was MIL code 45.
P0753 (M) Transmission 3-4 Shift Soleniod/Transmission Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the transmission 2-4 shift solenoid circuit (4-speed auto. Trans. Only).
well i would say you probably havent hooked up everything to the trans yet which is what those codes are for. You probably have your firing order wrong, it's easy to do. make sure you have pressure to the fuel rail.

I haven't hooked everything just yet, but the engine will run without the tranny....

what about the TPS sensor and all that stuff, are all your vacuum lines hooked up? that would cause it not to run.

Il go try that.

varsis once again, have you MADE SURE that the plug wires are hooked up right? have you pulled the plugs and looked at them?

I have put them on like 5 times, checked them double checked and tripple. I am thinking maybe a faulty wire... I will go buy new ones in the morning I am getting stumped...

RE: 5.9L half runs
I wouldn't buy new wires without checking the resistance on the current ones. Unless one of the wires is over 50k ohms, they're probably fine. What is the firing order on a 5.9L, and which direction does the distributor turn? Did you set the distributor with the engine at #1 TDC? It sounds an awful lot like a timing/firing order problem.

RE: 5.9L half runs
yes that is what im thinking too. if you dont have a haynes manual for your truck, i strongly reccommend you get one. it has everything you need to know like the firing order, how to fix major timing problems etc.
if you dont have one, i can go out in the garage and get mine, it should have specs for a 5.9 in it. ask me the questions and i'll try to answer them for you. that manual has saved my *** many times.
