good mods for a 3.9?

To be honest, if you start modifying the 3.9, putting money into it. By the time you are done doing all that, you could have bought a 5.9, had it in and still come out with more power...
I wanted more power, and that is what I did. My 5.9 Rocks. I paid 800 with harness comp for my engine about 100 k miles, dropped it in. Cost me about a grand for that. My next thing is something with the tranny. Thats what I need. But if you want power 5.9 is the way to go.
3.9 is a sucker engine, you will pay 200-300 or more for a cam, 500 for rockers, a throttle body well that can be expensive, for a used 5.9 on it costs about 100 bucks + shipping and if you want a nicer one, upto 500 about.
So just think about it and what you want and if it's just a cam your after I say go for it. But remember if you start doing more you could of had the 5.9 and it is a easy swap... Especially if you get a harness that fits nicely together unlike mine, I think if you go 99 and you got a 2000, you will have the exact same or vise versa...
