you gonna put the stock front bumper back on or are ya going to use one of those crazy metal ones so you can just toss a winch on?

I hope he gets a plate steel one cause I want one too! My front bumper needs to be replaced and I want a big angry one! I need a rear bumper soon too

I cant even find a place to make me one, not that I have hunted much cause I dont have the money lol


So Im VERY jealous, I want a dakota with solid axles I love my truck and I want it to be big and badass like yours is! SO are you going to do my truck next?

well drove it around the subdivision a bit, gf's house is on the other side, still need shocks so thats on the list, but it's drive able... And the front needs to come down a few inches still... sitting higher than the back at the moment.

But it's happily bouncing around down the road LOL.

how does the transmission feel with the v8 in front of it, and those large axles behind it?

Fine, because I re-geared the axles to a 5.38 ratio, so it feels like less than before, but I haven't gotten my foot into it yet though, but no driveline vibrations as of yet.

Im looking at bilstiens 5150's for the front and probably some generic crap for the back cuz well Il buy them when I get some more $$. The rear isn't as bad for bouncing either.

But I did find out why the truck is sitting higher on one side, the ubolt plate is larger on the one side because of the cast. Causing the plate to push more on the spring.

So Going to make a 7" wide plate for the side without the cast.

so went out and flexed the truck today. got 11.5" travel. Still no shocks, but ordering them tomorrow.
