Default should i race?

so this guy wants to race me and I'm not sure if i want to do it. he has a VW beetle with a turbo and a ridiculous looking cowl hood. other than that and an obscene paint job, it is stock. you think i should race him, or would i just be throwing my money away.

BTW, i'm leaning towards yes.

it would be really close my friend has a jetta thats got a lot of stuff done to it and no chip with 160k on it and it will pull mid to high 14's all day long...there is a beetle with a 6 speed thats faster plus its lighter than my buddy's jetta, i forget whats better about them but if it's got the 6 speed i'd lean towards no

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t_drive_review here is the one i was talking about its called a turbo s if its that i'd be careful low 15's is what there said to be able to run and the 1.8t isn't a slow engine...just dont want you to lose your money lol

Volkswagen: The same people who brought you WWII and mass genocide.

Kill that **** krautmobile, besides... you've got about 3x the displacement as he does. as long as you get a good launch you should beat him.

i hate to say it but with an intake exhaust and chip that little beetle could beat a good amount of r/t's that are mildly modded even heavily modded don't get me wrong i love my mopars but vw is right below that on my list

haha, he wanted to race today and i was like HELL NO! it's been raining all day, which means i have ZERO traction. he was all like "typical excuses" and "real cars have AWD". what a douche. anyway this weekend i'm visiting Indiana so i'll keep you guys posted.
