Default Removing stock airbox, PLEASE HELP!!

Hey guys, so I took out the air box and the hose but now I'm stuck on that thing that connects to the throttle body.

I unclamped the hose leading to the throttle body, but I cant find the bolts to take off that thing that says 3.7L V6??

Any and all help is appreciated. I know bolt send me a pic of where the bolts are on the v8's but mines different.

Thanks in advance guys!

Jim

looks like it may need a torx screwdriver? Is that possible? I was told by numerous people that it was just a few "bolts"??

Thanks

Jim

Well it was definitely a couple torx screws. I went to the store and got some torx screwdrivers and it was off in about 2 minutes. Sometimes I wish I had all the right tools I would need, it would have saved some 2 hours!

Anyways, its on, it doesnt exactly fit that great, the filter touches an AC line but its ok i guess. It sounds pretty good.

Heres a blurry pic, I will take some better ones when I get home.

Thanks for all your help guys! It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Hey Fox

I really wish I could have a better answer, but I ghetto rigged this this bracket, you can see it, just to the right of the first red gasket.

Any other suggestions of how to support it would be great man! Its only got the throttle body and that one ghetto bracket, thats not even on that great, to support it.

I guess I should expect that from a 49 dollar intake!

Thanks

Jim

One more thing, should the CAI sound any different at idle than the old stock box? If so, I'm not noticing much sound difference. Its when I get up to about 4000 RPM when I notice the difference.

Is this normal, or should there be a noticeable sound difference even at idle?

Thanks

Jim

you wont notice any change at idle only at higher rpm tried running mine without any breather on wasnt any different at idle but a 3500 rpm with open throttle the thing was insanely loud!!!!

Isn't the filter supposed to go into the air box to keep hot air from engine from being sucked back into engine? Thats what supports mine. And to get more air just make the intake hole on air box a little bigger.
