Default Rims For 98 Dakota

Hey guys I have a 98 Dodge Dakota SLT 2WD V6 Auto and I am having a very tuff time finding custom rims for this truck. I have looked all over in the usual places and quite frankly I don't see a lot of choices for 18's. I would like black with a chrome lip...5-7 Spoke pattern...Or something along those lines.

What the hell ? I went to Discount Tire,Wheels Next,Tire Rack and a lot more and I am just not finding any sites that carry what I am looking for. I know I am somewhat limited with the 6 lug pattern. Hell I even like the stock chrome rims on the newer Dodge trucks but none of those fit this old girl of mine.

Are there any sites you guys could suggest ?

Thanks in advance.

I dont know if you have them but I got my rims (black steel american racing but still) from town fair tire and they had no issues with options. I knew Id have to wait (it is a very uncommon 6-lug after all) but they had options. I only got them to shut up by telling them I was only interested in THESE rims and THESE tires in these sizes.

Just an option, if you have only tried websites I would go to custom shops or tire/wheel shops. Even if its just for name brands and prices then you can google them and maybe find them cheaper.

could also find a rim guy that will custom drill the lug pattern out of a wheel blank and machnie the rim as well. yeah its expensive but in some cases, it's worth it.

You could also look at getting a 5 or 4 lug rims redrilled for our 6 lugs. BUT I have heard NOTHING good about this. If you are just cruising around maybe its ok but I would never do it.

^ big no no, dont even make that an option. when the wheel comes flying off, youre liable for any damage and/or death that will result from this.

Well I dug a little deeper at WheelsNext.com and found these ( I have a white truck) thought black would look great against the white.

Ya thats what I have heard. This was a lively topic on the BMW forum I go to and it was loooong and only one person said that it was ok and it was the one that had it done. Now in a sports car that is going to be driven rough I wouldnt even buy cheap rims. That came up to lol

Just be patient and keep hunting!

nice rims and all but, you know that your V6 is only going to be more of a dog right?

have you done anything else to it?
