14psi is sick.. it was obviously a piece of junk
a good built 5.9 can get up to 450-500 slap 10psi of boost on it and bam 600hp...

Thats obviously not a piece of junk, it looks pretty well built to me. If he gets 580hp with 16 pounds on a 6.7L you would be at like 450-500 with 10 pounds at a 5.9. Plus a built 5.9(heads, cam, the whole 9 yards) won't make 500. But I guess we won't know until you actually do it and we see a dyno sheet.
EDIT: It's actually only 550 on pump gas and est. 580-620 on race fuel.

Yep thats a nice truck, but no way in hell is he going to get over 13k for it.
I seen a blown 408 sell for less then 9k on the Delphi Forums.
and by the way i was off a little
KRC (one of many vendors that offer crate motors) offers a 408 and 360
1psi depending on the engine ranges from about 5-15hp her psi. So lets say 10 for ****s and giggles.
408 = 480hp + 16psi = 160+480 = 640hp (est)
360 = 450hp + 10psi = 100+450 = 550hp (est)
add a damn good tune to either of them and im sure you can pull a few more hp out of them....
It can be done, the quote in my sig is a goal to myself once i hit 500+ ill be god damn happy with that for sure!
there is also a guy on delphi with a 360 with more power then a built 408, not sure on his specs ill have to find him, but its all about the tune and part combination, the parts im using are based off of builds ive read/heard about from about 7x diffrent dakota/dodge forums. Im sure i wont get 600 right off the back when i do it, but after tuning and maybe switching out/porting heads/cam ect.. i can be able to do it.

I got both of those Motors off KRC other vendors do sale crate motors, but KRC was the first to pop in mind, I think Dan (fastman) had a built 360/408, John (southeastperf) has a few, Summit, Jegs, KRC is probably about an avg, im sure you can get more out of the 408, like i said it all depends on the builder and tuner.
yeah and hopefully ill have my blower on by the end of summer, the heads for now are just going to be custom ported stock heads, till i can find a set of nice 2.02 r/t heads, i found a bare set for 500$ awhile back but the guy sold them from under me when i was heading to his house to pick them up. Rare Heads since they are not made anymore... and would have been perfect for my blower setup, grr..
