I like turbos because they use exhaust to spoil the turbo vice the belt. Boost is boost, I run 11psi to compensate for the normal 10psi from the turbo I'm ready to see what these new KRC and STS setups bring, its going to be wicked.

Turbos are more effiecent but have pros and cons. They are more expensive to fab up and make a kit, they also seem to have reliabilty issues.

Superchargers are cheaper to instal and in some cases are rather easy compared to that of a turbo, and are much more reliable and still give you the same amount of boost. I realize there is some more friction due to the pulley involved but if you have a vehicle with some torque (v8) it won't matter because you can overcome that friction much easier. Thats why most turbo'd cars are smaller engines and supercharged vehicles are larger engines. 4 bangers make it more difficult to over come that extra friction.

Good luck with your turbo hunt. I love my supercharger and highly recommend boost to any 4.7L owner. There is something about bringing all your mods together to double your stock RWHP.

i would love a turbo and personally love the turbo lag (and equivilent turbo kick in) that turbos give, however in terms of money I want and if i can find one, will get a supercharger for my 4.7... now i just have to find one

If you don't mind my asking, what did you end up paying for it?
