that's what I did...all the wiring harnesses are there, too. I used to have the manual non-folding 5x7s, and I got the electric, folding 6x9s, and the switch off of ebay.

I dont know why they made them that way but in a way they make the truck look sleek. If I do break one they have them all over ebay for like 30.00

they thought they would just make the mirrors that way so they just break instead. and they get to sell new ones. its all about job security...

yea they made the smaller ones cuz it's smaller. the 6x9 folding ones are technically towing mirrors....which imo should be stock regardless since well...it is a truck.

behind the door panel, there will be 3 wire harnesses with separate clips on the driver's side, and 2 on the passenger side. 1 is for heated, 1 for motion, and the 3rd for the switch. I had to buy the switch since my truck didn't come with it.

Do the 6x9's provide a better viewing angle? I've been looking a "towing" mirror of sorts, but I don;t want them to look like I stole them off a 3500, cause that'll just look stupid.

I have Power mirrors already but they are the non-folding kind. The "sleek" ones. The 6x9's bolt right up your saying then right? I think I'm gonna have to get myself some.
