Dont flame him for the yota, Tacomas are engineered, researched and built in America! So you are helping Americas, period. I have def become a mopar man but if you look in my sig I have 2 imports too. Nothing wrong with imports, Americans are still employed to get them in the US and on the road.

Honestly Id rather get my kota to 110% than replace it. My subby is just my DD at the moment so I can get my kota done
ummmm... quick question...where is Toyotas' headquarters located at?? im no good with maps, can someone help me? cause last time i checked their headquarters werent located in AMERICA

Get or keep what you like period, but I personally would not base 1-2 mpg on my choice. I have a 2003 4X4 4.7 QC and wouldn't trade it for 2010 Tacoma, but that is just me. The Toyota is probably a good truck, but I love my small block V8 and after I regear I dare a Tacoma to challenge me. And yes if you get a Toyo you will prob get a load of cr@p from everybody here, but it will be deserved

dude i have like the heaviest truck on here and don't nessesairly have all the maintinence up to date (its running great but i haven't had it in the shop for a while) and can pull 19 mpg average on a tank of gas (over 350 miles.)

**** Toyota, stick with dodge and get a V8 5 speed and be happy.

My younger brother went from a Yota xtended cab v-6 4X4 to a 1500 ram reg cab 4X4 sport, the ram got better gas milage had more power and much higher towing capacity. Me personally I have had a Dak for going on 6 yrs now and I wouldn't trade it for anything else except another Dak. Mine has towed almost 9,000lbs before with no issues. I seriously don't think you will do that with a yota (safely).

Yup agreed. I have a QC 4X4, 4.7, tow package w/electric brake controller, heavy duty package, 9.25 rear, 545fre trans, which = 1 heavy @$$ truck and I still get decent mileage and can tow just about anything I want. I promise you won't be able to do that with the Tacoma. Like I stated earlier though you are the one that has to drive whatever you get so go with what you have peace with. You can always sell the Tacoma and get another Dakota when you realize the err of your ways

I believe the V8 w/manual trans gets the best mileage of all the Dak's

Sounds you have sold yourself on it. Get it, rip it up and let us know how you like.

We're still gonna give you cr@p
