Default cheap fixe up's q's

I've got a 98 Dakota Sport Rear Wheel Drive 3.9 liter V6 and i was wondering if there were any cheap or inexpensive tricks i could do to make more power (not much but enough to be noticeable) until i can get some aftermarket parts if i can get some big cash saved up. I would greatly appreciate any help or info.

you could always try a resister in your iat sensor to trick the computer that will free up a couple horse but the two basic things that you always want to start with is more air in and more air out cold air intake i made my own out of the tubing i got from auto zone and it let you put it closer to your fender than a k&N does at half the price

and exaust getting more air out always helps go bigger pipe, muffler, high flow cats, header theres a number of things to do there

thanks for the welcome, right now i'm running the stock V6 magnum engine with new spark plugs/wires and for my exhaust all i'm running is headers to the down pipe then a glasspack cherry bomb then the tail pipe,so i don't have a cat or muffler to restrict flow, that was a nice noticeable power increase and was only a $40 dollar upgrade.

It's highly illegal! Removing a cat is a federal offense...
