broke torsion adjuster bolt!

Default broke torsion adjuster bolt!

i was cranking down on the torsion bars today, on the first adjuster bolt it went 1/4 turn then broke off, i had the weight off the front... but i cant seem to find a place that sells this part!!, does any one know where i can buy them?!

Ouch! I was gonna do the same thing this weekend. Was gonna drench it with PB Blaster before doing it though as the bolts are rusted bigtime.

You check the dealer?

gonna probably have to work that threaded portion of the bolt out, and find a grade 8 bolt with the same dimensions, then youre set. try http://www.fastenal.com

yeah i helped him do it. we jam nutted the old one out and replaced it with a grade 8 and replaced the other side for good measure.

after we fixed the front we relized that the rear shackle was broken on the back.also it is impossible to find the shackles for this truck, had to get some from an F-150 from a spring shop. seem to match up perfect
