I always liked the look of stock rt wheels. Probably a bit cheaper than aftermarket wheels, depends on what you're looking to spend/look you're goin for. good luck.

And man that is one clean engine compartment! hope I can get mine that clean .. those are the valve cover..

Batman13 Thats a good question..I was chalking it up to a free service giving less than quality info... maybe I should name this project mystery machine lol god only knows what has been done .. but time will tell..I'll be reading all I can find and learning allot with this project.. In the spring I will really be putting some time in it..

headers, valve covers and CAI are aftermarket, the intake is stock unless someone has ported it. also, is that a mechanical fan? i thought all R/T's cam with electric fans? both mine did.

yeah.. but its welded.. to a fitting and put on.. Not sure what they were thinking there... the way they have the fan its actually off center by a few inches.. something I am definately going to have to fix as it looks like it has rubbed the shroud
Its warmed up some and I have been giving the thing a close look... there is a place on the steering column where a shifter once was... I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of converting it back to auto until/unless something happens that I need a new trans...
and another odd little thing I found is on the lable on the door jam.. says the rims are supposed to be 15x9.. & tires 225x65 but shows the same vin# as the dash..with a Z in it... the mystery continues....

Edit:: Just wanted to point out.. the site i used to run my vin# seems to list all R/Ts as a sport...I just ran 4 others from ebay and they all came up as sports.

Check the glovebox and see what it says there should be a label on the bottom of it on a piece of white paper if it was equipped with the "R/T" package it will say.

only the 2000+ came with electric fans, they still had the clutch fans, just a different shroud for all of it. The 99 and below did not come with it and had a smaller shroud and a window washer bottle above the PCM in the bay.

Found it.. it says code: AGG Description: sport package Also.. for sure was an automatic.. that states it was a 4 speed auto... 3/92 gear, anti spin axles.. what ever that mean lol I also found a sticker from the state of TN.. apearently.. the truck was rebuilt there...
So.. can we say the mystery is solved? my insurance company thinks its an r/t... they put it on the card..... I can already see.. when i go to buy parts.. i'm going to end up buying the wrong stuff lol isnt the shocks and other suspension parts different between the two packages?

Not really, just tell them you have a 2wd 5.9 r/t The only difference in the suspension was 1in drop coils, 1in drop leafs (removed a leaf pack from the original leafs to lower it) sway bars in the rear and front.

Other then that all the rest is just cosmetics besides the 5.9 powerplant and a few other things like gears, tune, ect.

You wont have a problem.

Thats good to hear...I went through a similar ordeal with my wifes jeep.. luckily my friend who was doing the work knew allot about jeeps... Looking forward to getting this little jewel redone.. I think it will make a nice toy.. but allot of work to do.. O2 sensor is zip tied to the frame..... guess that will be the first fix.. I'm surprised it runs as smooth as it does....along with getting the exhaust reworked.. it ends at the mufflers.. with turned down tips (just past the cab)
