Cam ?'s
Rather than having work done on your stock heads, check into the new RHS / Indy Max heads, reasonable price for new hi perf heads and will do better than worked stockers.
I'd be careful about going too big on a cam - .600 is a HECK of a big cam! Requires you to change springs and rockers etc. and will run rougher than a cob. Also will need an expensive custom tune for it, bigger injectors, and on and on.
For even a moderately warmed up street engine, you don't really want to go over
215 to VERY max 220 degrees of intake duration at .050" lift. 210 duration makes
a real nice perf boost without totally killing streetability and making it a bear to drive.
And something in the .475 range is great plenty lift.
You're gonna want something better in the intake dept, too - remember that if you
don't match all the major components (heads, cam, injection, intake, exhaust) you
will be killing both performance and economy. A well matched moderate setup gets
you quite a bit more overall performance and still runs nice on the street.
And last but certainly not least - THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!
