Default gas mileage

i know this is a heavily debated topic but i just wanted to put out my findings for those who are testing things differently and what not ... i have a 4.7 v8 and made a trip home from college and its exactly 100 miles (101.6 or so depending on how i get on the high way leaving school) either way i fill up my 22 gallon tank before i get on the road that way i know its full to the brim i don't over fill the tank when the pump stops i stop pumping and i reset my odometer to zero i drive home all the way and refuel before pulling in the drive and the gas station is maybe .2 miles off the high way exit on the way home i drove pretty much 65 steady as i could in normal traffic conditions stopping once to check an engine code ... p0456 small evap leak ... contiued driving normal and got 22miles to the gallon cause it took me about 4.4 -4.5 gallons to fill up the tank when i got home. mods done to the truck are a glasspack exhaust duals out the back and a superchip ... i had the super chip set on the 87 octane setting and plan to do the same test on the way home again on the 93 octane test performance setting and see if there is any benefit ... i am going on a road trip to alabama later this summer and will continue different test at possibly different speeds and settings on the super chip ... given also im running about 30-31 in tires stock that came on it any feed back is welcomed

i guess the only thing im missing is a tuner. i got to get the sc.
i've done alot of the other stuff and haven't seen any better milage.
is the tuning doing most of this improvement?
i plan on getting a tuner anyway just to help my trans live longer.
im not really looking for hp gains just a better overall truck.

Yeah, it will help.
It helped me.
And jsut build your own CAI. Much Cheaper. Less than $100 compared to ~$400 for a aftermarket one.

I just went from about 15 a month ago to like 10 now. And I suddenly am also using oil as a combustion aid, apparently...

Again...

I hate tearing the intake off
