Default My well worn 03 Dakota 4X4

She's a worker and has not been taken care of before I got her. But I am giving her a fresh start and giving her a purpose. We live out in the woods of Maine. Got a growing farm and got a lot that a good truck can do.

The day I brought her home:

Today after adding flares:

Guess it's time for me to pay attention to the sticky and put my dakota in the ranks of the others. Saved her from a no-caring previous owner. They kept up the looks, but not much on the engine. Cheap parts (round and round goes the cheap crank sensor you all love), upside down parts (How do you flip the evap solenoid? It's even labeled), and general lack of maintenance. Just a tuneup was a major boost in performance when I first got her. Even the dist cap wasn't fully seated, one side was lifted up about 1/8" or so and the rotor was barely catching the end of the terminals. However, lucky for me, they already went through ball joints, so it has bolt-on greasable ones on it already. One of the rear brake shoes was BROKEN, half the pad was shattered off. Has a few leaks here and there, needs a freeze plug or two (leaks about a cup or less of antifreeze a month), but nothing major. Their main reason for selling the truck was the brake/ABS light wouldn't go out, and speedo didn't work until 35, ABS sensor anyone? 18-19mpg 60/40 city/highway, does what I want her to, so I'm happy.

3.9L V6 Magnum

Not as fancy or powerful as some others in this thread, but she's mine, am I'm proud of her.
