What, where, and how do you get and mount a front bracket to hold a front license plate on the 2nd generation dakota's.

If you can't find anything aftermarket, a wrecking yard or dealership is probably the best bet for something that's made to fit. Texas requires a front plate, so all vehicles sold here have a front mount for the license plate.

Mine is broken too. I am guessing the dealership here should have them. Hav never seen them anywhere else.

In fourteen hundred ninety-two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

If you click the following link
it won't cost you the kitchen sink'

If you opt for one, not two
1492 pennies is all it costs you.

Sorry, had a few too many beers at a golf tourney today. But the price is $14.92...

hahaha, do you really need a mounting thing for it. can you just drill 2 holes in the bumper and secure it that way?

You can always fab something up, I made one to snap on my fairlead out of a $5 flashlight bracket and a piece of aluminum. Did a DIY as a matter of fact:

They just take a couple of license plate screws & dig right into the bumper cover. You dont' really need to buy anything. Just screw into the cover yourself.
