Quick cb antenna question
Well I did have one 3 foot ant on my bed and I found out why it stopped working the copper wire snapped off the end of the ant and wasnt making good contact anyway I found a dual kit 3 feet long 18'' coax or dual 4 foot 18'' coax Only thing is I dont know how tall I should get Im thinking 4 foot might be too tall but I cant find a pic of a dakota with a 4 foot one. Any help here? dont wanna get something I dont like on my truck pics are great if you got em

hey, I have dual 4 foot antennas on my 2002 dakota 4x4 reg cab. I was in the same boat as you, I couldnt decide if the 3 footers would be big enough or not. But I'm definitely glad I went with the dual 4 footers. They are pretty tall, but I get a lot of compliments on them. They look pretty good.

Yep, no problem, anytime. Always willing to help, especially since your a dodge guy haha. Just glad to help. I like them a lot. I know some people think they're kinda big and obnoxious but I love seeing them sway side to side and bend back when cruising on the highway. And thanks, I try to keep her looking good.

When I was shopping for CB antennas I was actually told by the manufacturer that dual antennas would interfere with one another being so close on such a small truck, so I would suggest calling a shop that just does CBs and get their input also. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. And there will be a point of where you want to have looks balance with function.

yes, while they do not function the best I personally like the looks of them better. so it does depend on what you were intending them to be used for. I do not use my cb radio much, just talk to friends when we go on trips and such, which works perfectly fine. But if you were leaning more towards functionality this may not be the best way... but I personally havent had too bad of reception.
