Switching chips, sounds like a black hole that just might pull me in.

I've only had my rt up to 95 but the reasoning is anything over 80 and i start getting a lot of vibration, hopefully when i get new tires and get em balanced it will fix that

I might or might not have had mine at 115 when the limiter cut in.

With the 3.55's it was potentially at only like 3200-3300 rpms so there would be still a little left to go

I find it weird that guys w/ V-8 trucks can't hit 100, I've had my truck up to just under 118 (it's still pulling when it hits 118 but I assume the limiter kicks in there) and mine is just the 3.7 V-6 w/ CAI and muffler.

Some models (regardless of engine) came with a limiter at 98 mph. I think it was some of the earlier 4x4 gen 2s.

With some of the other guys I would have to assume a lot of it has to do with local environment (elevation in my case) as well as other modifications/ equipment including tires, gear ratio, surface type, etc.

I know that living at 5300 feet, my truck makes less than 200 hp at the crank (3% of power is lost per thousand feet increase in elevation).

Makes sense. I live in Florida...AKA sea level.

So im kinda upset now, was just on my way home when goin down the interstate a cobra mustang passed me, so i pull back up beside him and he floors it like i was hopeing, well first off i didnt really have a chance anyways but the fact that i tore out and all a sudden my truck stopped goin, i looked down and was at 110, what sucks more is i have smaller tires so my gps said i was only doin 102. Im definetley gonna be lookin into the sct programmer to do away with the speed limiter
