I feel your pain man. I've been down the road with electrical issues and, in my book, those are the worse. I'm not the greatest at electrical work and then there are so many possibilities and what not.

I never had a problem with the motor due to electrical issues. It was the, lights going on and off whenever, same with the whippers, doors locking over and over again, speedo not working...

End up being the ctm for the first stuff and the speedo didn't work due to the wires going into the ignition on the column coming loose some how... only I have that kind of luck.

Remember how the gasket comes out of the valve cover? 1st make sure its hasn't came out. I bet that is what is causing the oil leak. It that it, just completely unbolt the valve cover, feel the inside to see if it came out. If it did, just push it back into its groves and rebolt it. If it's leaking a lot, I bet that is what it is.

If the seal is going bad and you don't want to replace it just yet, do this. Unbolt all the bolts from the valve cover. Leaving the valve cover in place, use a rag and wipe the end that is leaking. Dab the black RTV on the spot that is leaking and tighten down the bolts starting from the center and working out. As seals get old they have a tendency to start giving way.

I would be interested to know what they find with your fuel pump/electrical system.

Let me know if you can't get the valve cover to stop leaking or the dealership tries to rape you installing the fuel pump. I will drive down there next weekend and help you do both. It's only a 3 hour drive and gives me an excuse to take the truck for a drive, lol.
