I was pretty let down. I recently made two all highway trips (120mi and 180mi) and both trips I got 15.5mpg. I know it is winter and all but I would have hoped for better. Tires were properly inflated, doing 65-70 the entire time. Only used cruise in flat areas, never on the hills. I was hoping for a little better than that, but oh well.

Yeah see, a QC, Auto, AWD (4.7 or 5.9?) is getting the same as I am... Doesn't make sense to me.

25!?!? on the highway? Holy $hit batman. It's either flat as can be or you have tremendous tail winds at all times. In the summer the best I have seen was around 20 on the highway.

My 1999 Dakota R/T averages 15mpg mixed driving, just go a 2000 Durango R/T and am getting around 10.5-11mpg city and 14mpg highway at 72mph.

let me clarify a lil bit, 12 or 13 in the city coupled with 25 ish on freeway, and that puts me around 18 or 19, but i do mostly city driving, and i am guilty of hypermiling on freeway, watching instant economy on console readout lol, that on my 4.7 02 4x4

I properly inflated my tires and looked at my mileage and wow what a difference. Got a pic of it.

Oh you're using the overheard console that's why. Those things can be so far off its not even funny. Start calculating it yourself to get it a lot more accurate. I guarantee you won't see 25mpg.

I've got a 2000 2wd quad cab 4.7l. Average 15.5 with 80% around town. Can get up to 18-20 interstate driving with cruise control. I don't usually speed and occasionally drive a few mph slower than the posted on the interstate. It will raise you mpg 1-2 during that session of driving. If you figure out how much time you save by speeding over a one hour trip you'd be suprised how little it helps to speed and how much fuel you can save by leaving 5 minutes earlier and driving 68mph in a 70mph zone. YMMV but it works for me.
