yeah both take the same. even if you put in a higher weight its going to be pretty much the same weight once its warmed up.

I have never had a problem and thats how I did it on my truck just make sure you get all the old gasket off the cover and diff.

i just did my hand tight. tq specs are over rated.the only thing we tq specd on my cam swap was the sprocket bolt. everything was just by feel. headbots ect snap too easily to mess around with torqing them to spec.
