Default ATTENTION!!!!!!!! In need of help

my 2000 dakota has recently lost control of the transfer case and a row the selector and there is no connection between the lever and the case iwas wondering a way to "professionally" secure cause i dont want to bring it to the shop

I don't exactly know what you are talking about here. You need to be more descriptive. Did you look under the truck? Is anything broken?

there is "looks like" a linkage arm dangling it has a pin at the end and if i move the lever mostly to 4lo while the truck in gear F or R it will make pinging sounds(im thinking something rubbing when the linkage arm meets something spinning so thats wat ive seen tonight and heard too so far

On the left side of the transfer case near the front driveshaft is the shift linkage.
Just reconnect it. There is a lock bolt that may have come undone.
