Default Aftermarket headlight problem.

I just got these kick *** lights from a pal and I'm havin a little problem. On the drivers side signal lights the 5 LEDs do not flash with the turn signal bulb. There's 5 LEDs and one bulb used for signaling in this assembly. The Passenger side works fine and even when I take the whole passenger side light assembly and plug it into the drivers side connections it works. I narrowed the problem into the headlight assEmbly as to the connections work fine. I'm chewin my nails on this lol

Has anyone had this sort of problem or would know what to look for as to why these LEDs are not flashing??

the lights blinking faster is most likely due to a bad ground somewhere, trace the harness back and look for corrosion on grounds, your drivers light my be defective id contact the manufacturer and get a new one, if the pass light works fine on the drivers side that would be my first thought

It's blinking faster because u have loose connections...mine would blink fast as soon as I hit the brake...the connections on these eBay aftermarkets aren't too great. Mine are all led as well. I just hard wired them in and haven't had a problem since. Put weather proof male and female butt connectors on so u can unplug them to take them off if need be. Very simple.

Try putting some bulb grease in the socket if u want and just plug it back in and slowly mess with it till it comes on....2nd gen kotas have problems with the factory sockets.....

found the problem, There was a little loose wire into the connector on the Drivers side Connecter on the ligt assembly. not bad for a few minutes of pokin around in there, guess I hit the right wire and htey started to flash... But as for the *loose ground* i can't seem to find it. hmmm maybe i'll just keep them the way they are, it's different. Unless it's bad for the truck?

"Rapid flash" is an indicator that a blub is out, IF you have incandesant blubs. Using LEDs the current draw is so low that the flasher relay 'thinks' you have a bulb out (it uses heat created by current draw to 'flash'). Had the same problem on my goldwing till I re-added the front two incandesant bulbs. If I'm not mistaken, Superbriteleds offers a flasher relay, or load resistors, that should fix the problem.

There is also a better write up on their site about what causes this........
FWIW
