Default wont start / nothing ?

my son has a 2000 4door dakota 4.7(or 4.9 something like it) auto 4x4, drove to the farm to help with hay and drove fine as usuall, 10 hours later went to go home and i wouldnt start, not even a click, tried jumping, nothing, changed battery, nothing, the door buzzer comes on and dash lights and head lights get juice, but when you turn the key to start there is nothing, any help ?

I would say your starter is bad.

here is an idea, it might be out in left field but could it be the imobilizer? what color is the key? if its black or metal your ok, but if its grey you have an imobilizer. also, does the truck have an aftermarket alarm? those will have a starter kill.

There is a starter motor relay in the PDC under the hood. You should hear it click when you turn the key. Also try putting the truck in Neutral, the neutral safety switch may have failed.

You can swap the relay with another in the PDC.
