Default Need Torque Specs for 1998 318

I am in the process of rebuild my 1998 318 engine (from a carry-over of I cannot drive me dodge Dakota sport 35 thread). I am very close to being finished, but I just realized I have no idea of the torque specs for the engine. Can someone please tell me or point me towards the direction to find the specs for torquing the: headers, heads, manifold intake, rocker arms, lifter, heck the whole engine!

This community has been a great help for me while I have been doing this build. I have had three dodge trucks, but this is the first I have actually built almost from scratch. I just wish to thank all those that have given me advice and for being a pretty decent forum of which I am proud to be a member.

The service manual is downloadable from the stickies and the FAQ above this post. It will have all the torque specs and bolt patterns ect.

Crazy4x4 is right but thunder's idea is even better saves running in the house when you are not sure of something. They are great to have around and even carry in your truck. Plus the cost is very low like 15.00 or 20.00. If im bored and have to kill some time ill pick mine up and read a chapter or 2. Comes in very handy lol

Free is better then paying for an incomplete manual, Chiltons and Haynes suck. The service manual that we got is made by Dodge and is 100% complete.

But you did bring up a good point, it is nice to have something at the truck side when you need to refer back to it. For me I have a laptop so having it outside is no problem and it is searchable, type in a work and it will search for those times you can't find what you need. I keep it on the drivers seat where it wont fall or get dirt ect.

But having a paper book is nice where it doesn't care about getting dropped or dirty. The best option would be the paper Factory service manual which unfortunately is $90 or so. But we got that to download free in PDF format.

i bet you didnt know that a 318 has a higher head bolt torque than a 440. why? cause the 318 has larger, and fewer, head bolts than a 440. a 318 has 4 bolts around a cylinder, a 440 has 5 bolts around each cylinder. that's free.
